about our program



Thank you for your interest in the CSUF Graduate Program! Our program offers MFA and MA degrees in Studio Art* and Art History, with prospective graduate students in Studio Art applying under one of eight concentrations. This is a truly exciting time to be at CSUF with the completion of our Visual Arts Modernization Project. Our new state-of-the-art buildings enhance our courses and provide unique learning opportunities with our accomplished faculty. We have expanded our graduate studios, created stunning new exhibition spaces, and integrated cutting-edge technology to provide an enriched and inspiring environment for our students.

*Our Graduate program offers MFA degrees (60 units) in one of 8 studio art areas (ceramics; creative photography and experimental media; drawing and painting; glass; graphic and interactive design; jewelry and metals; illustration; and sculpture). The MA degrees (30 units) is offered in 2 areas (art history; and graphic and interactive design). Please consult the most current version of the College of the Arts University Catalog in the "Students" tab above for more information about the course offerings for those degrees.
