Associate Professor Heather Jeanne Denyer, PhD is an award-winning scholar, dramaturg, and translator who teaches world theatres, dramaturgy, and puppetry. Her research focuses on West African theatres, ecodramaturgy, women, and puppetry. She regularly presents work in Africa, Europe, and the US. Her publications include The Plays of Aristide Tarnagda and chapters and articles in African Women in Digital Spaces , Puppetry International , Women in Puppetry , The Routledge Handbook of African Theatre and Performance, PAJ , and Puppet and Spirit, vols. 1 and 2 , among others.
